Wakehurst Woman Of The Year 2018 – Vesna Perisic

Vesna Perisic was recently named as the 2018 Wakehurst Woman of the Year Award.

Vesna took part in the awards ceremony that was held at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour on 8 March, 2018.

Having known Vesna for quite a few years, as a result of her involvement in Community Connect Northern Beaches, I believe Vesna is truly an amazing human being.

Community Connect is an organisation that provides the glue that holds the Northern Beaches community together.   Vesna is one of the key people who ensures that the glue holds so well.

As coordinator of volunteer recruitment, Vesna strives to integrate, develop social inclusion and coordinate community consultations.

Vesna is instrumental in organising community events to build a stronger supportive Northern Beaches community and works extremely hard to assist local residents and organisations wishing to get into volunteering.    She also organises many functions throughout the year for volunteers.

The Volunteers Expo, which has been held for a number of years, goes from strength to strength due to Vesna’s hard work and enthusiasm.

Congratulations Vesna, a truly worthy recipient of the Wakehurst Woman of the Year.
