Wakehurst Chooses My Community Projects

The My Community public vote closed on 15 August 2019, with over 61,500 people voting for the favourite projects across the State.

The NSW Government is investing a total of $24.68 million in projects across NSW to help improve the wellbeing of the people and communities. My Community Project is made possible by the NSW Generations Fund. The fund helps keep the state’s debt at a sustainable level, while sharing the benefits of its returns with the people of NSW by funding community projects.

I am pleased to confirm that 3 projects in the Wakehurst electorate have been selected by you (the community) to receive funding totalling $270,136.

The three successful Wakehurst projects are:

  1.  Community Bound ($79,391) – Sunnyfield
  2.  SPOT, Stage 2 ($29,045) – Beacon Hill Public School
  3.  Recreation and Playground Update ($161,700) – Cromer Public School

Congratulations to Sunnyfield, Beacon Hill PS and Cromer PS!  I look forward to seeing the end result when your projects are completed.
