Northern Sydney’s swimming spots are starting the swimming season with excellent results in the latest State of the Beaches report.
The latest State of the Beaches report is great news for beach goers. It means our beaches are suitable for swimming most or all of the time and are amongst the cleanest in the world – a good result and similar in performance to the previous year.
Despite the relatively dry conditions, several significant wet weather events occurred during the warmer months and brought heavy rain at times, particularly in the last week of summer.
The quality of NSW’s swimming spots is closley monitored for cleanliness.
The State of the Beaches Report (link below) provides ratings for 241 swimming sites (ocean beaches, ocean baths, estuarine, lake and lagoon sites) across NSW – including 127 ocean beaches.
