The $50 million Brookvale Community Health Centre is officially open, delivering 22 health services, including the first inhouse BreastScreen NSW for the Northern Beaches.
This is an amazing one-stop-shop bringing the very best of health care directly and easily to families on the Northern Beaches.
It has the first BreastScreen NSW at a community health centre on the Northern Beaches, able to screen up to 40 women a day, as well as child and family health, rehabilitation and physiotherapy and drug and alcohol counselling, to name just a few of the great services.
The state-of the art facility is part of the NSW Government’s commitment of $100 million in community health facilities for the rapidly growing Northern Beaches area, as part of the $600 million Northern Beaches health service redevelopment.
Services at the new centre include:
- BreastScreen NSW;
- Child and Family Health;
- Child and Youth Mental Health;
- Chronic and Complex Care;
- Community Adult Mental Health;
- Community Drug and Alcohol;
- Health Promotion;
- Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service;
- Oral Health; and
- Community Rehabilitation and Aged Care.
The centre has a multi-storey car park with more than 450 spaces, including 250 parking spaces for commuters using the new B-Line bus route.
