Member for Wakehurst, Brad Hazzard, is pleased to announce that more savings are now on offer for Northern Beaches seniors with an additional 48 local businesses signing up to the NSW Seniors Cars program and offering discounted products and services.
Mr Hazzard said a recent campaign by the NSW Government successfully increased the number of participating businesses across the State by more than 28%, with a total of 3045 new local businesses now offering discounts to Seniors Card members.
“It can be stressful living on a fixed income and that is why the NSW Government is ensuring seniors have the ability to save on the cost of living by bringing more local discounts to our community than ever before”, Mr Hazzard said.
A recent survey of 35,000 Seniors Card members revealed NSW seniors are more likely to try a new business if it offers a Seniors Card discount or deal, and 70 per cent of seniors would return to a business if it offered a Seniors Card discount.
“More than 90 per cent of eligible older people across NSW are Seniors Card members, including 36,699 card holders in Wakehurst”, Mr Hazzard added.
“I urge all businesses in Wakehurst to join and see how the Seniors Card program can benefit your business by building a loyal customer base among seniors, while supporting our community”.
