2020: A Challenging Year

I am not prone to quoting authors, but recent times have reminded me of Charles Dickens’ words from ‘A Tale of Two Cities’.

When we look back on 2020 it may be that we have assessed it as the “best of times” and “the worst of times”.

Bushfires, floods and COVID-19.  What a trifecta!  Throughout the worst of times we have seen our sense of commmunity and caring for one another rise to incredible levels, indeed the best of times.  I want to thank all of our community who have partnered with the NSW Government to support those in need.

Together we can do anything and tomorrow will be better, but for now I ask that you:

  1.  Adhere to social distancing (1.5m).
  2. Keep washing your hands – again and again!
  3. Don’t go out if you are sick.
  4. Get tested for COVID-19 if you have any flu like symptoms.

Remember, there is currently no vaccine and no cure.  This won’t stop us returning some normality to our lives, so long as we stick with these basic life rules.

Best wishes,

Brad Hazzard
